I joined Building Blocks for the first time at the end of J1, after getting an abysmal E for my promotional examinations. I told my teachers I loved Economics but kept getting inconsistent results - I'd get an A in one exam and totally flunk the next. After looking over my exam scripts, I was told not to worry and that I would be an 'A' student. Naturally, I didn't believe them at first but after spending some time at Building Blocks, I could see Economics come to life and understand the topics taught in school at a much deeper level. The teachers always brought out the fun and exciting side of Economics in class.

The very next common test, I topped my class in economics and ranked within the top 20 Economics students in my cohort. What I find even better about Building Blocks is that apart from the weekly lessons, they also provide skills training workshops in Essay-writing and Case Studies. I attended all of those and it helped me become very clear of what to do in the exam hall. My marks dipped significantly in the J2 preliminary examinations because I was much stronger in Macroeconomics than Microeconomics.

Luckily Building Blocks had a solution for this - a crash course in Microeconomics! I believe this made all the difference in the A level exams because I walked into the exam hall able to attempt questions from both Micro and Macro equally well. Going to Building Blocks will really make the A level experience so much smoother and much more enjoyable.
